Our ISP has one and all of our mail is filtered to it before it comes into the local exchange server and spam has just about stopped completely. There is a nice simple web interface that users can log into to check what didn't make it through, just in case. But I've only had it grab one message that was actually legitimate. AS for performance we haven't had any issues, but then again we don't maintain it.

nathen555, im not talkin about software firewall. im speaking of the Barracuda networks hardwear Spyware firewall. it is the new companion to their spam firewall. you should check it out www.barracudanetworks.com . ten times better than software.(theoretically, that's what i'm trying to verify)
