I have a big spreadsheet. I did something screwy with the freeze/unfreeze button and now I cannot see my "A" column. My spreadsheet starts with "B". Very frustrating. I did something again and it started with "Q". I quickly closed it and did not save it. Opened it again and it is back to starting with "B". The undo button did not work. I don't think it deleted the "A" column because it would have just moved everything over and I would still have an "A". Any help is greatly appreciated.

You haven't just tried "unhiding" the A column, have you? Try click-and-holding the cursor so that you select the entire B column (like ON the "B") and drag the cursor to the left (it'll select the rows, don't worry about that). Right-click "B" and select UNHIDE.

I can't imagine what else would get rid of a column.

Now that I figured it out I am the biggest moron to ever touch a computer. Somehow when I clicked to unfreeze the panes it shrunk the "A" column to nothing. All I had to do was change the width of the column.

Doh!
