Acer 2310 wireless problem

Trying to help a friend out who has lost his wireless. I believe that he has somehow turned the wireless off. It is an older Acer Travelmate 2310 model a20 running xp home. Could any please tell me how I can turn it back on. Doing the ipconfig I get media not connected. Tried fn + internet symbol but nothing changed. I have restacked, uninstalled and reinstalled, found latest drivers and there are no yellow or red symbols in device manager. Thanks in advance for any help

I have found the solution, it is the slim orange switch in the very front Thank you to all who read.
