How to restore an Asus K52f to its original factory settings

This is the factory restore instructions from the manufacturers website.
Asus:
You can use it from a special hidden partition on the hard drive by pressing F9 at system startup

Thanks for your reply. It did worked, yey!!! Pressing F9 didn't work at first but when i tried the second time, it did work. I'm really happy coz i've been trying the whole day and did a couple of ways like the doing the system repair disc. Kinda frustrates me. Thanks alot for your help

Did it restore the system back to factory and is everything now restored and working correctly?

I have an asus k52f When i try f9 to restore to factory settings it starts to do the recovery process but then hangs up on an asus screen mouse pointer still works.
