No there is no error message,

I went to device manager, clicked on PCI card (which has an exclamation mark) and then clicked properties, I clicked on the driver tab and then the update driver box.
I used the 'search for better device than the one I'm using now option'
I went to the specify location option and tried searching for that file you gave me to download, but it doesn't show.
I can't use the file to install the driver.

umm...open the computer up and look at your display adapter and look for the drivers...and then try doing what you did before...might help and worth a try

Did you get any cds with the computer because you may have to install some or look throught the cd

hahaha! I am not openeing my computer! knowing me i'll kill myself or break the computer and no i didnt get any diver cd's for the computer, just the windows 98 cd.
