I have a Hotmail e-mail account that I now access via Apple Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 Mail I have no problem receiving, sending and deleting etc. e-mail messages. However, when undertake any of these activities (sending, receiving and deleting etc.) utilizing Apple Mail and access my Hotmail Account via Apple Safari Browser there is no sign that any of these activities have been executed i.e. messages read or deleted in Apple Mail appear unread and undeleted in Hotmail.

Consequently, I am using this medium to solicit assistance on how I can configure Apple Mail or for that matter Hotmail in such a way that whatever I do in Apple Mail (e.g. open, delete or send message) will be reflected in my Hotmail Account
