Not sure if this is the laptop's issue or if it is windows 7 so I didn't know what forum to put this in.

I just reinstalled windows7 on my sisters Toshiba Satellite and the wireless connection won't work. Also when I plug it into a hardline it doesn't seem to load webpages either. When plugged into an ethernet it says that it is connected but doesn't actually load any pages. Also, when it is wireless, it says there is limited to no connectivity to my router, and I have done the windows diagonstics, and it says to check the router, but I know it is working correctly because other wireless things are working and I know the hardline is working to because I am using my computer. I was just wondering if there is something I have to do.}

I was just wondering if this is a common problem, or if I should just reinstall it one more time. I haven't really done anything because I have other stuff I can do for now until I get a definitive answer from you guys (hopefully it's something simple and that I won't have too many problems).

Thanks in advance.

If any other information is needed just let me know. Will be checking back periodically over the night. Thanks lots guys!

Please Go to

1: START and the click on RUN
2: Type in devmgmt.msc
3: Click Enter

To do a screenshot please have click on your Print Screen on your keyboard. It is normally the key above your number pad between the F12 key and the Scroll Lock key
Now go to Start and then to All Programs
Scroll to Accessories and then click on Paint
In the Empty White Area click and hold the CTRL key and then click the V
Go to the File option at the top and click on Save as
Save as file type JPEG and save it to your Desktop

No problem just make sure to save the screenshot like the instructions say or it won't attach. Great to see you back and I wish it wasn't because of a issue but I will try my best to assist you.

BTW I haven't done any updating of hardware or software on it because she does not have the CD's, I just figured I would just download that stuff online, but obviously I can't

Go to the Start button and then to Control Panel.
From there go to Network and Sharing Center and get me a screenshot of that.
Your Device Manager shows everything is setup correctly.

My truck key broke so I had to get a new one and have been busy with that so it has taken me a while to get back to this. Here is that Screen shot you asked for.

OK just as I thought. It looks like it is not seeing your network adapter.
I'm looking for the correct drivers for your laptop but the model number you gave for your laptop is not showing up.

I think I found the drivers: Satellite L455D-S5976

Those are the correct drivers right?

The sticker on the back says Satellite L455D-S5976 so I assume that's the model number.
