I have a Mac Book that connects to the internet through the wireless. I have a Desktop running XP that does not have a wireless card. Recently our internet got shut off. Lucky my neighbor is a very good friend and lets me use his wifi. I now need to get internet to my desktop through my mac laptop. I have them connected via ethernet cord but everything I have tried to connect them doesnt work. Can this be done? If so, how?

I have looked for a solution but have been unsuccessful. If anyone could help or post a link to a guide I would be very grateful.

Thanks!

Hello there,

Just a warning up front; I do not own a mac and have almost no knowledge on mac equipment.
That being said, take a look at this article; http://docs.info.app....5/en/8156.html

You could try bridging it from your wireless to the Ethernet port.
Please do keep in mind that you will need to use an Ethernet cross-over cable to connect your mac to your desktop. An Ethernet straight cable won't do the job.
Wikipedia Ethernet Crossover Cable

I hope this helps.

Regards,
Olrik
