I recently built a pc for my parents a few months back. After experiencing a blue screen they rebooted and lost an Internet connection. In device manager the network card is displayed as "network controller." assuming that the card had gone out, I purchased a new one but I am still experiencing the same issue. Any advice?

I assume that you have installed the driver for the new network card.If not then do so.Uninstall the driver for the previous network card then install the new one.
If that doesnt work.

Please download FarbarServiceScanner and run it on the computer with the issue.
http://download.blee.../farbar/FSS.exe

Make sure the following options are checked:
Internet Services
Windows Firewall
System Restore
Security Center/Action Center
Windows Update

Press "Scan".
It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
Please copy and paste the log to your reply.

Please download MINITOOLBOX and run it.
http://download.blee...MiniToolBox.exe

Checkmark following boxes:

Report IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP configuration
List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer log
List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Click Go and post the result.

Edit I realize you can not connect please transfer these logs via cd or usb device.

*EDIT*

I believe the product is fairly new, so I couldn't find any drivers aside from the install software. I can't even complete the install process because the software is unable to detect the presence of the card. Its a Netgear N300 Wireless PCI Adapter.
