ok, so i have windows 7 64-bit on an acer aspire 5750 laptop. i am not sure what our router is, i just know we have cable one internet...i'd have to search and possibly ask my aunt what it is.
anyway. for several months now, my wireless will work very intermittently. it will stay connected for a little while--occasionally, it will work for 10+ hours before dying, lately (and what has been driving me most insane), it will work for 15-30 minutes, possibly more than an hour, but not more than several hours. it all works very randomly.
it first goes to say that there are connections available and then goes to the red X. repairing the connection works occasionally. other times, it will say that there is a router issue (when there isn't/shouldn't be), or it will say troubleshooting can't identify the problem. disabling and then enabling the wireless connection has no effect. when that happens, i have to either put it to sleep (which has worked most of the time) and the connection will come back, but now lately, i have to shut the computer down and turn it back on for the wireless to actually come back. right now, i'm on the wired connection, which works perfectly fine.
i don't know if this is connected to it at all, but i thought i would mention that if i have headphones plugged into the headphone jack on the left side, i can't put pressure on the left side below the keyboard at all or the effect is like i don't have headphones in. i'm thinking something's gone wrong internally? but i don't know if that has any effect on the wireless or where the wireless card even is, to be honest. it's under 2-year warranty and not even a year has gone by, so if it's got actual physical problems, i can send it in, but i'm wondering if there's anything i can do to fix the wireless.
thank you!
