Hello there,

I currently have a virtual Ubuntu Samba file and DNS server. I'm wondering whether there's any videos I can download and watch to learn further about Linux server distro and their functionality?

I know when I was taking my SQL 2008 exams a few weeks ago I used to watch CBT nuggets to learn and I'm wondering whether there's an equivalent for Linux server?

Kind Regards
Michael

Hi mbond,

I'm not sure about videos, but http://www.cyberciti.biz/ has come great tutorials for basic linux sysadmin work.

And when in doubt, learn how I learn- break it and fix it! I run a bind, apache, ftpd, pptpd, dovecot and mysql server on a Ubuntu 10.10 install for fun and learning. If I'm every curious how something works, I'll fire up vi and get cracking- usually I end up breaking something, but that's all part of the learning experience! :D
