msn messenger

when i first got my pc msn messenger wasnt on it so i downloaded it and it was fine but then all of a sudden when i try to use msn the msn messenger 6.2 window will pop up and then my ps re starts <_< :D :D can anyone tell me what i can do to fix this ?

i have windows messenger BUT i had that before and msn messenger still worked fine

does msn messanger show up in your add/remove programs and is there a file in the program files?

there are no files or folders left from msn messenger . i have gotten rid of all of them

try totally removing msn messanger and then installing it from the web

Also try this:

If you have problems installing a new version you can completely remove the old version by following these steps;

[1] Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove MSN Messenger
[2] Go to C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger and delete the entire folder
[3] Start up Registry editor by going to Start Menu -> Run->Typing in regedit and hitting OK
Navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger key and delete the entire MSNMessenger Key

what do you mean by key ?? the entire msn messenger folder ?

delete everything in the \msnmessenger
