I'm currently using Outlook 2007 to check my three AOL IMAP email accounts. It is really slow when logging on, but usually only to one of the accounts. The other two are almost always reasonably fast.

Also, it is often (possibly always) much slower downloading attachments than if I use AOL.com web mail. This is so for all accounts.

I have reinstalled Outlook 2007 completely on this PC, installed it fresh on another, checked and reset all the server settings as per AOL's online Help instructions.

Are there any software settings to adjust which would be likely to help this issue? Is this just AOL's fault?

Would switching to another (IMAP) provider be likely to result in better performance?

Thank you. Any info on this would be appreciated.
