i HAVE A INVALID PARTITION TABLE ERROR WHEN I BOOT UP MY LAPTOP AND UNFORTUNATELY I DO NOT HAVE ANY BACK UP DISCS TO RESTORE THE OPERATING SYSTEM. I SELECTED THE ONBOARD NIC OPTION FROM THE BOOTUP MENU AND I GET THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES:

BROADCOM UNDI PXE-2.1 V8.3.0
COPYRIGHT © 2000-2005 BROADCOM CORPORATION
COPYRIGHT © 1997-2000 iNTEL CORPORATION
ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
PXE-E61: MEDIA TEST FAILURE, CHECK CABLE
PXE-M0F: EXITING PXE ROM.
INVALID PARTITION TABLE

IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN FIX THIS WITHOUT HAVING THE BACKUP DISCS?

Why are you selecting the Onboard NIC option? That will attempt to boot from your network. You need to do a Startup Repair. If you don't have the Windows 7 install DVD, you can download a legal copy from Digital River. Make sure you get the same version and hardware (32 or 64 bit) as you currently have.

You need to download and create the DVD on another computer.
