flash player not working in ie and firefox but will work in chrome

i have windows 7. a while back i started getting white space where flash should be running or blank black space. happened in firfox first. now after a couple of months the same thing has occured in IE. the only browser i have that still runs flash plAyer is google chrome. relativly new computer;

Hi, I have moved your thread here from the Windows 8 forum.

Is the problem still happening? Are you running the latest version of Flash player? If not, update and report back. Otherwise try completely uninstalling and reinstalling it, and report back.

You can test and see what version flash you have by going HERE. Just follow the steps and if you need a newer version it will help you install it. If no joy do as Troy suggested and uninstall Flash completely and then install the newest version.
