Hello. I have been trying to figure out what is going on with my laptop for three days now. I think I may have found a clue when checking the event logs, but need some assistance as to what I can do to solve this problem. When I start up my laptop, it boots up seemingly fine, but when I try to open anything (programs, folders, etc) the system will hang and never load what I am trying to open. Also, my notification area icon for my home network/internet connection shows that this computer is not connected to a network at all - i can still pull up internet pages but cannot open the network folder. I have gone through my event logs and saved anything that had errors in it. While going through my log, I did see that Windows Update produced an error - update had been running at some point on 8/11/12 (right before the computer started acting up) and "lost connectivity". I am attaching the various logs I saved in .txt files for your perusal. Please advise as to what I need to do. I am currently running this laptop in safe mode and running a scan with Malwarebytes.
