Firefox is using 130 MB of memory. And the Norton toolbar either won't stay enabled or is missing from the Add Ons list entirely.

Hi Ryan
Go through this article first.
Follow the steps to do some housekeeping.
Download and Run TFC Cleaner from here --> Restart following the prompt --> Download and run ADWcleaner (Use the delete option) --> Restart the computer --> Go to this page from Firefox --> Install Plugin --> Restart Browser --> the same page will come-up and give you the Browser and plugin status, Update everything that shows up out-of-date.
Regarding the Norton's Toolbar, it is compatible only with Firefox versions 8 and above. If you've the toolbar through Norton AV, Run Live Update until it shows no update available and Restarts after every live-update.

Thanks to Essexboy for ADWcleaner Link.

Why do you think 130MB is too much? That's less than my Firefox or Seamonkey browsers use. They both runaround 170MB.

I would have to agree that 130mb is very little considering the amount of memory you would have being a gaming system.

Thanks. The add ons were using 90MB. 130 MB sounds like a lot.

firefox is using 413,760 MBs on my version of firefox (7 I think) with about a dozen tabs open...
doesn't mater though as I have 16 GBs of ram and my total ram usage is 2.68 GB

I have 28 tabs open and I don't see any problems. 8 gigs of memory total.
