Hello,

A new notebook Samsung 900 series. Replaced the HDD with Crucial M4 mSATA 256GB. I used the win7 OEM recovery to re-install on the new mSATA. Instllation was fine. I manually updated the drivers from the Samsung site. I using win7 pro firewall configured for browsers and svchost.exe (initially for windows update and later for all programs and services). I use MSE and MBAM Pro realtime. I checked the MS site and allowed exceptions to their weblinks in Internet Options. The MSE and MBAM update without any issues. Win7 is validated as SP1. I am unable to run the win7 update since last night. I am getting the captioned error. I pinged their site from the elevated and normal command prompt. The ping returns a failure, while I can browse any website. I tried MS Fixit. It does not run for the same error. I repaired and upgraded without any success. The updates at the upgrade phase also fail for the same error. I seemed to have exhausted all options. MBAM Pro and MSE do not return any malware/virus.

Please help. :help:

Thanks,
