Hi, I've had a lot of blue schreens since the last 2,5 years I own my computer. I've already done a clean install of Windows. Since then I only got 1 BSOD for the two months, now I have had 5 in the last 5 days.
I used the program Bluescreenview, I'll paste the information it gives. Hopefulle you guys have any clue. My first thought: some defect hardware since I get different kind of blue screens within a short time. Hopefully the RAM in that case.
The computer rebooted automatically after each BSOD without any problems.
There haven't been any changes in hardware or software recently with the exception of Windows updates right before the first BSOD previous week.

Let's test the memory using Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool. The tool will run at startup, you will be notified of any errors at login.

To start the process follow these instructions,

Click the “Windows Start” button.

Type MdSched.exe into the search box located near the bottom.

Save & close any open applications >> Choose “Restart now and check for problems”

The system will restart automatically.

I'll test my memory. One question. I understood that mem86 is a better tool than that from Windows?

I believe the two are similar in terms of functionality. One advantage for the Windows version is that it is built in to Windows and so there is no need for extra equipment.

Thanks. I'll try it out. Though I am seriously considering to just by 2 gig (not that expensive anymore) of the same model and try exchanging it slot for slot. It could also be my motherboard but I understood that a defect RAM-module is by far the most likely cause when you get such varying BSOD's under such varying circumstances. Please tell me if I am talking nonsens. ;)

Thanks. I might need to install 2 new modules, those have to be the samen as the ones I currently have so I might have to install 4 new modules.
