I am having serious problems with my windows 7 toshiba laptop. it says something about system error, hard drive controller failure. It won't just open up like usual, I have to go to start and type in security, then find a place that has the internet explorer icon, to get on the internet. Please help. I don't know anything on how to repair a computer, and I don't have much money. :( Thank you!!

Hello blossom777,

Malware vs Hardware:
This sounds like a malware issue to me. My recommendation is to go to the Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal forum and follow the procedure for posting in that forum. Hopefully, they can resolve this.

If malware is ruled out and the problem persists, please return to this forum.
