Hi I wish to unistall Mcafee security center from my Window7 PC, however when I try to unistall it will not work saying portions of the program are in use. I have modified the start up menu to stop it starting up when the computer boots and have still had no joy. I have also tried safe mode and this will not work. I have also tried deleting the program files manually and this will not work. I need to remove it as I have Kasperski Internet security to load but it will not load until my Mcafee is removed completely. I am not impressed by Mcafee after it failed to stop me being hit with Virus and Trojans that were common knowlege.
Thanks..
Additional Details
I have tried removing using the add/remove programs utility, as well as removing the program files and I cannot get it to uninstall.
I cannot re-load Mcafee as it was preloaded on my PC when new, and I do not have a disc or master for my PC, all I can do is a system restore. I have tried this to re-install macafee but still cannot get it to uninstall.

Hello,

Please Download the Customer Products Removal Tool (MCPR) on your Desktop.

Close all McAfee Application windows and double-click on the MCPR.exe to start the removal tool.

If the tool finished you need to restart your computer.

Make sure you have a backup of your system before using this tool.

How to make a restore point if do you not have an backup solution:

Please reply to me after using the uninstall tool.
