Hi,

I'm just about at the end of my rope. My computer literally will not let me download any files, it doesn't matter what browser I use, there's always another reason. Internet Explorer says the file always contains a virus, Firefox just won't download anything period, and Chrome (which I prefer) is saying it cannot locate the download location and then removes the file it just downloaded.

I need to download files from my e-mail, that's all I'm trying to do, what's going on???

PLEASE HELP! Thank you for reading!!

Sounds like malware to me. Go to the Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal forum, read the first post and follow instructions.

Come back here once you get a clean bill of health if you still have problems.

Hi Liv Scott,

Ztruker is wise to advise you to post there. ;)

I have looked at the logs you posted and can see multiple issues. Please wait patiently for assistance there... it will arrive.

To be honest with you I'm surprised you haven't given up on it.

It will be easy to fix though if you dilligently follow the instructions there!

Sincerely,
-Mel

Hi Mel,

Thank you so very much-I really appreciate it. I've been close to just wiping my computer and starting over, I'm very relieved to hear I won't have to do that-I'll do whatever needs to be done. I'm also very confused as to how this happened-I have Avaast anti-virus, and it's supposed to be very good, so maybe I need to find a different anti-virus?
