Laptop, Webcam Virus

Ok, i am not a current computer tech but i have some previous knowledge/experience with them. My room mate got some virus that blocked whole screen and had web cam turned on and a little picture of her at bottom etc, i took the laptop and ran combofix on it, it deleted several things, ran cc cleaner behind it and now it wont pick up my network, also not showing network adapters ive reinstalled the drivers, ive tryed all kings of google searches and options, it doesnt have a system restore point. Those disappeared apparently any help ? please =D
