Hello, I just bumped into this forum while searching for answers but the post seemed different then my problem. My knowledge of computers is fairly basic and I've been having trouble trying to find a solution to the problem.

I have a ASUS K42Jc Laptop with Win7 64-bit OS

I got it a while ago and I've had problems with it since the moment I bought it.

At first it seemed slow, it would freeze and as it restarted it seemed to lag in the display of writing and code on startup - or even freeze there. (Also had multiple blue screens at the time, regularly since I got it)
I bought the computer at Canada computers and brought it back 3 separate times and each time it returned with the same problems.
It seemed like they just restored the computer to original settings each time and didn't do anything else.

I've talked with Asus and they are not helpful, keeping responses very short. I finally sent them the notebook this october and all they seem to have done is fix the fan (since the old one died) but it doesn't seem like they have addressed the main problem.

It seems like its getting worse and worse. Sometimes I turn it on and it works alright for a little while, but most of the time it goes to blue screen within 15- 30 minutes. I've had blue screen ontop of blue screens just as it is dumping info. Also often tends to fully freeze during blue screens and doesn't restart so I have to do it manually. I also have Instant shutdowns where the screen goes black instantly and you hear that electronic dying sound. Otherwise the thing just does a normal freeze and I have to shutdown manually too.

Since I received it back from asus I told them that the problem persists and all they replied in an email was try pressing F9 on startup and follow instructions. despite the limited help I did this twice and the problem isn't solved. (It actually had 2 errors and a freeze the first 3 times I tried it)

I just did it now again and it worked for a little while so I was a little hopeful but after I installed google chrome and started looking online for help it blue screened again (and every time I start it since) with the crash msg:

Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Not sure if it helps but the code underneath was:

*** Stop: 0x000000D1 (oxFFFFF880846C2F65, 0X0000000000000007, 0X0000000000000008, 0XFFFFF880846C2F65)

This message is only the one from the last few, I didn't pay attention to the earlier ones.

Before sending it to ASUS someone told me it might be a memory problem so I used MemTest but it reported no problems.

If any of you have any knowledge as to how to solve the problem I'd be grateful for any help!
Thanks in advance

Adam

EDIT:

One thing I did forget to mention is that essentially since the start at times the freeze would have this wierd buzz sound that wouldn't end until the blue screen was over. Not sure it is related to sound or not since I mainly noticed it when I was watching a movie or listening to music.

EDIT 2:

Just had another blue screen however this time it read:

CNG.sys
Page Fault in non paged area
