What is PCScan Antispyware?

The Malwarebytes research team has determined that PCScan Antispyware is a fake anti-malware application. These so-called "rogues" use intentional false positives to convince users that their systems have been compromised. Then they try to sell you their software, claiming it will remove these threats. In extreme cases the false threats are actually the very trojans that advertise or even directly install the rogue. You are strongly advised to follow our removal instructions below.

How do I know if I am infected with PCScan Antispyware?

This is how the main screen of the rogue application looks:

The instructions are in English. The screen shots show the actual program as it appears when it installs. You don't need to read the screens to follow the instructions to remove this program.

If you read the title of this thread, it's for removing this rogue product from your PC. There would be no reason to intentionally install this, so there's no need to be able to read the screens. The important is to be able to follow the instructions to remove it.
