This isn't a huge priority if you folks have other pressing issues but if I can solve these than I will have a flawless running Win 8.

I used the patch to get rid of the charms bar and that went away but the black bar still comes out on the right side when it feels like it and I am nowhere near the top or bottom RH corners. I can move my cursor to the right slowly to the top of the scroll bar to scroll and the black bar will pop out randomly and it is irritating. I am at least 3 cm from the top corner. Done this since day one.

Secondly, even though I have a fast connection and am scrolling a webpage click by click with my cursor on the right, web pages will randomly take off and go a bunch of clicks like it is waiting for the page to load then plays catch up.

Thanks for any ideas.

EDIT I enabled windows search and it seems to have solved the latter scrolling problem.

Install Ex7ForW8 and all Metro/Modern stuff will be gone, if that's what you are trying to do.

Disable the new Windows 8 interface for good with Ex7ForW8

I uninstalled Classic Shell and installed StartMenu8 and it solved the problem. I'll hang with this for a while and see how it goes. There are options to disable/enable the charms bar, hot corners, etc.
Thanks.
