boot up blank screen with blinking cursor windows 7

Hi, when i boot up my system it goes from motherboard info to blank screen with cursor. Then it will resume like everything is normal i have no idea what could cause this. zi have checked the boot settings and checked for malware to no avail.

system specs

windows 7 64 bit OS

MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB

Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB

ASUS 24X DVD Burner

Radeon hd 6870 xfx card

corsair 750tw power supply

If there is important data on the HDD that you have not backed up please do so now as a precaution.

Do you have a Windows 7 installation disk and if so what type is it, full retail, OEM, a back up disk that you created yourself or a burned copy.
