Hello All,

Like The title suggests, I have been facing the blue screen of death for sometime now. Laptop crashes randomly while working on it for no reason. Other times when it goes into hibernation [display turns off] It wont turn back on and I have gotten the BSOD a few times now.

Might be related, Laptop will suddenly stop responding, programs dont respond. Have cleaned regitry, run virus scans and checked disk for errors. No \thing came up.

I have attached the dump files, anyone help me out?Attached File  BSOD_Dump.zip   537.49KB   199 downloads

Hello there!

I'm not sure how it works in this forum since I'm new here. But sometime we need more information than just dump the files. Looks like you have a problem with a USB hub or drivers for it, and/or the USB WiFi drivers. I would recommend to update them. Also I have listed all 3rd party drivers update any older drivers (if applicable)

Thank you :) I have tried windows update and it said no new updates. However I have manually updated the problematic driver. Waiting to see if it happens again [Hopefully not.]

Also could you tell me what other files would give more info other than the dump files?

Thanks.

I have developed a Tool that will collect all required files.

  • Download the file from here
  • Once it saved on your Desktop right click on or press and hold the SF_Diagnostic_Tool.exe, and click/tap on Run as administrator.
  • Click/tap on the Grab All button, and click/tap on OK for each notice dialog until it's finished.
  • You will now have a folder saved on your Desktop with the name of SF_DD_MM_YYYY (SF_day_month_year) that includes the information from each button in the tool.
  • ZIP the SF_DD_MM_YYYY folder, then upload it
