I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum for this but I run my Sony Laptop on Windows 7 and yesterday my WiFi started going crazy and dropping every five to ten minutes. It pops back on all right in a couple of seconds, but the in and out is making things like gaming or even chat conversations really frustrating.

I called the cable company and they did a test on the modem and they said it was fine and showed no signs of dropping and then suggested it was my wireless router to blame. To test this, I restarted everything (unplugged it, waited and plugged it back in--modem, router and pc) then I ran several other devices. Streaming video works on my kindle and the other in house laptop but my Sony Laptop keeps dropping signal on and off.

I tried to get in touch with Sony support and they had me re-dl the wifi drivers and restart but that did absolutely nothing.

I'm desperate. Help, please?
