Blue screen of death which I can't fix myself

Hi,

I have a blue screen of death error, saying: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

tcpip.sys

I have this Blue screen randomly when I'm working with Internet.

Can anyone help me?

Hi Damienjtu, welcome to Geeks to Go! Posted Image

First off, I recommend to update your system. You can do this by starting windows update (you can do this by searching "Windows Update" in your start bar). Let it scan for update and install all the recommended updates and reboot. If the problem persists, this may be due to a memory issue. I'm not sure what system you use (please post system specs in your next response), but if it is a desktop, are you comfortable with checking and reinstalling your RAM? Hopefully this can correct the problem, if it does, please post back with confirmation and hit the "Rep+" button if this helped you. If this did not fix the issue, please reply and we'd be happy to help further!

Download Security Check by screen317 from here.
http://screen317.spy...curityCheck.exe
Save it to your Desktop.
Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.

A lot of times THese types of issues are caused by antivirus or network drivers.

Here are the tools that I use.

Easiest way to find out what caused your crash is to upload your dump file here.

When the driver if it is a driver is identified then check the name of the driver here.

You can disable many drivers with a tool like autoruns by un ticking them.

Just to add to this:

Sounds like you need to update iastor.sys :

iastor.sys = Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver - See System/Motherboard Maker and the chipset maker.
This driver could have been driven to fault by other programs such as Symantec/Norton.

This driver is extremely difficult to install so you need the System Maker or Motherboard Maker's (for custom
built systems) help though you might also ask in the their forums (if any).
