Restored Dell laptop to original factory settings with Vista operating system. Checking online Vista is now up to SP3, is it necessary to go thru all the updates or can I just install the service packs such as SP1,SP2,SP3. Will stay with Vista for now as apparently someone sold me a Windows 7 upgrade disk with a bad Key number according to Microsoft

Hi,

The latest Service Pack for Windows Vista is SP2, SP3 is for Windows XP!
You need to install the SP1 first then the SP2, after this update to Internet Explorer 9 and then you need to check for new updates using the Windows Updates applet from Control Panel because there will be allot more updates to install...
