I bought my dell laptop about 3.5 years ago and for quite a while now Ive been seeing NT Kernal and System as a 150 threads in resource monitor. The other processes dont even come close to it, they are all 60 or less threads. NT Kernal and System also has the lowest PID. Ive searched google endlessly and havent found any real practical/coherent answers. Ive read in one article that it could be caused by a bad hardware driver. I havent installed anything recently and I certainly dont want to go through the painful 1-by-1 elimination method to find out whats causing this. Is there is easy way to find which device drivers are getting the most hits in the kernal?? Ive heard of a software called krview but I remember it being overly technical and not compatible with windows 7 64 bit. Please give your suggestions.
Thanks
