Hello,

I'm having problem while trying to install a game, an error pop up after I clicked the game installer file Setup.exe. "Runtime Error (at 48:5084): Out of string range."

I have been google for hours for quite a few way to fix, also tried the 'Autoruns' and 'TFC' suggested by a Mod name rshaffer61 from another thread, but the problem remain the same.

Feeling so despair.. Hope I can find any helps here, any suggestion is very much appreciate.

Please provide information about your computer, this includes is it a notebook or desktop, is it a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if it is provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the MB, add on video card if one is used and the PSU (power supply unit) providing these details will enable us to better assist you.

Can you also tell us what the game is that you are trying to install.
Are you trying to install the game from a disk and if so is it a genuine or burned copy and from where was the disk obtained.
If you are trying to install a download please provide a link to the site that you are downloading from.

Hello,

Thanks for reply, I'm not good at computer stuff, please do guide me if I'm telling wrong.

It was a Desktop PC with Windows 7 Ultimate, video card was nvidia geforce GTX 550 Ti, I'm not sure how to check the power supply unit, I saw a code behind the CPU it write '230VAC'
Only the video card and the power supply unit was changed when the time bought 2 years ago, other part should be origin, sorry what's 'Dell/HP' and 'number for the MB' was?

Yes, the game I'm trying to install was 'Serious Sam 3 BFE', it was from a torrent download, here is the link xxxxxxxxxxxx

ps: I also bought the both serious sam hd first and second encounter, both successfully install but nothing happen after start the game, feel unwilling to spend my part time money to buy another serious sam 3 so I search up this one.

Please tell me anything else you need to know, I'll try to follow up, thanks.

Hello tsbm

We must put the hardware components asides for a moment.

Thank you for being honest about from where the game was obtained but are you aware of the dangers of downloading torrents, not only can the software be hacked (and missing files etc) and therefore be illegal it can also be infected with malware, with this in mind may I draw to your attention the following from the GTG TOU

q.We will not support or allow the discussion of any peer to peer (P2P) applications, except for their removal.

I suggest that you uninstall the game and then follow the necessary steps as provided in the tutorial provided courtesy of admin which can be found Here

Saving up the funds for a known legitimate version of the game is a small price to pay for being safe.

Hello,

I know about what you mean and I know about those rule about this kind of forum
But I must say I dislike private stuff myself, but in this case I'm not, because they waste my money twice for nothing

And, honestly, more and more people using private stuff now days, and you really believe the other people you help aren't using private item
If you rather help a dishonest request than a honest one, of well, I guess we have no fate, you have no values at all
I knew I won't get my help here either, thanks for the lame reply.
