Skype interferes with my programs and crashes everything

So i've had this issue for a quote a while now. I'm not sure if it's related to the virus I previously had on here but one of the admins assured me that it was not a virus problem.

So whenever I open up skype it seems to crash itself along with my other programs such as : Spotify, video programs that I watch movies in, games, and it mutes my youtube video.

Usually when I put my pc to sleep and then open it up the next day the problem is gone but whenever I open up skype the problem comes back again. At times it's very random and my skype DOES WORK along with everything else and then randomly it decides not to work on me.

probably one of the most frustrating problems i've had ever and I would appreciate any help.
