Got this far, is it the 2nd one down

Its the same driver version

v.14.2.0.7,

Also just got this reply from Broadcom...

Hi

Thank you for your email

Broadcom supplies WLAN hardware and software solutions for various computing and mobile products.

Broadcom does not sell products directly to consumers. If your product came bundled with or installed in another manufacturer's product, it is referred to as an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) product. Each of these companies customizes the software for their particular device therefore you will need to obtain the software and support from the manufacturer. If you are having problems with your Broadcom based WLAN products please contact the manufacturer or distributor for technical support.

Best regards,

Paul Sherry

Broadcom Corporation

Even though it is the same driver version remove the old one.
Save the driver to your desktop.
Un-install it via device manager and check the box that reads delete driver from windows.
Now click un-install and reboot.
After the reboot then install it from your desktop.
Reboot again and see how the goes for you,

Just found the same 2 files on my pc, can I delete them both and reinstall this

http://www.dell.com/...d=NI#OldVersion

After I uninstalled the driver from device manager and rebooted I forgot to download the new driver but windows found it and installed it, is that ok or should I uninstall that one and install the one I just downloaded

Just noticed these when I click on view, then show hidden devices, this is daunting me now with all those showing

When you un-install the driver from device manager tick the box below.

Reboot the machine and then install the item on the desktop.

As far as view show hidden devices why are you showing me that?

Also you never answered me is the internet still running well and the only issue you have is the additional log in info prompt?

What additional log in info are you referring to?
Before windows starts?

Hey, thanks for the super fast response Rshaffer

A notification came up saying 'Additional Log In Information May Be Required' when windows has started

Its not happening anymore though

Rockmilk said I should change to DNS servers but that interferes with all the things I do online (watch football streams, play games on Facebook)

It really slows them down, if its not too much trouble could you take a look through this post and see if you can help me

Thanks

What issue are you having now since the log in issue has resolved itself?
You stated that the internet was now running faster so that would seem to be resolved so I'm a little confused as to what needs to be resolved. I am going through the topic as I type this so I will be on the same page with you.

If your DNS is working I myself see no reason to mess with it. If the notification isn't coming up anymore then that sounds like it resolved itself.
As far as the rest of the topic along with the malware topic it looks to me like everything has been resolved.

It was fine the day I changed it to DNS then after that it went downhill, really slow, watching live streams is joke, every few seconds the stream would pause, then start, then pause, then start, plus even playing pool games on facebook slowed other browsing down, all the things Ive tried have been fine, that is until the next time its switched on

Please help me finally sort this once and for all

Did you put the DNS back to original or is it still set the way Rockmilk had you change it?
