I have recently purchased Microsoft office 2013, powerpoint and excel work perfectly fine , however every time I attempt to open Microsoft word it says it is not responding and immediately closes. Can anybody help me find out or know what is causing this to happen?

Uninstall and reinstall Office?
Do a Windows Update via Control Panel, see if has any updates for Office?
