Hi, I have a HP Pavillion p6110y desktop computer. I've been getting the following message on and off for the past week when I start the computer:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. Stop: 0x0000007E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF8000E60B000, 0xFFFFF880027EA0C8, 0xFFFFF880027E9920)

Usually I turn it off and turn it back on and it boots up to windows. I hit the repair button on startup but it hung up so I had to turn it off and reboot. I ignore the repair right now.

Today after I rebooted from the blue screen, I was on the internet and a blue screen came up saying:

Hardware malfunction

Call your hardware vendor for support

The system has halted

I turned the computer off and opened it up. I cleared all the dust out of the vents and fans, unplugged and plugged things back in, pulled out the ram and reseated it. Closed everything and hooked it back up. Restarted it and for now it's running.

Any ideas as to what could be causing either of these blue screen messages?

Thank you for your time.

Zip up the last 4 or 5 dumps in C:\Windows\minidump into a single .zip file, and upload the zip file here so we can look at it.

Also see here: Stop error message in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2: "Stop error code 0x0000007E (SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED)" or "Stop error code 0x00000050 (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA)"

It's telling me access denied when I try to zip the files. There's only 3 files in the minidump folder.

First dump: CLMLSvc.exe The process known as CyberLink MediaLibray Service belongs to software HP MediaSmart Music/Photo/Video or CyberLink Power2Go or CyberLink MediaLibray Service or LG CyberLink Power2Go or Acer Arcade Deluxe or CyberLink PowerCinema for TOSHIBA or CyberLink LG Burning Tool or HP TouchSmart Music/Photo/Video by CyberLink (www.gocyberlink.com).

Second dump: MsMpEng.exe The msmpeng.exe process is an application that belongs to the Service Executable application. The mspeng.exe application is the core component of the Windows Defender which was previously known as Windows AntiSpyware. Could also be Microsoft Security Essentials.

Third dump: CLMLSvc.exe

Try uninstalling then reinstalling any Cyberlink software, see if that resolves the problem. Also check for updates.

Ok, I'll uninstall it. Not sure if it was preinstalled or where it came from. Thank you
