winipcfg reset

my internet "freezes" like every 2 minutes or so, I have DSL... The only way to get it to work is to open the winipcfg window... I don't have to actually reset it, just open it. When I attempt to open it, it often takes several minutes to open, but once it opens, the internet "unfreezes"... why is this happening, and how do I fix it?? Thanks, Shel

Hello,

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the directions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
