I'm sitting here looking at a fresh install of Windows 7! :D
Man, I'm so glad that worked, I was seriously thinking I'd just have to live with a combination of 32-bit XP and 64-bit Ubuntu or something till I could get a new drive or mobo... Thanks for all your help! I guess it was the BIOS the whole time. Weird that it would have been such a problem.

I still have to make sure my key works, but I should be able to manage that on my own :)
