Hi all!

So, my computer is acting strange, when ever I use Firefox it crashes my whole computer, I don't know if it's my computer or the programme it's self when it updated.

And when I try to apply an update for the GTA IV game it crashes as soon as it starts.

I had a long talk with a game Developer and said it is a operating file called KERNSL.DLL something like that, saying it corrupt/has an error of some sort,

Basically It needs a restart to Factory Settings.

I lost my disc to do so and searched my entire house for it and can't find it.

My computer was ordered from PCSpecialist.com a while ago.

It's a Windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit OS for gaming purposes.
SP1

Also if I was to order a new OS disc online would any website be okay like Amazon or does it have to be Microsoft?
I don't want one from their as they sell it expensive.

But, without the disc can it be restarted to Factory Setting?

Anything else you guys need to know I'll add it.

:-)

Hello,

Is there a specific make/model? Also can you contact the pcspecialist.com support team and order a replacement recovery disc for cheap? They should be able to help you out there.

Cheers

If I may add a couple of pointers in addition to what Troy has suggested;

You may or may not be asked for an installation DVD to be inserted into the optical drive for this but try running SFC and hopefully no disk will be required, SFC tutorial please note that running SFC 3 or 4 times is sometimes required to complete all repairs.

If SFC resolves the issue I suggest that you make a back up image of the HDD, details later if appropriate.

Other options for your future use;

Download your own Windows 7 ISO from here

For a USB thumb drive installation see the information here
