We have a Dell INSPIRON 10 Mini netbook. Recently we replace a new HD. Ever since we cannot install Intel Graphic Media Accelerator 500. Everytime we try to install the driver by running the setup, we get black screen. When we try to update driver from device manager
we get the message:
(1)"HAS NOT PASSED WINDOWS LOGO TESTING TO VERIFY ITS COMPATIBILITY WITH WINDOWS XP".
(2) When click on "continue anyway", we get messages saying cannot copy below files
(a) igxpmp32.sys
(b) igvxres.dll
© igxp_xp32.cpa
(3) After these files are located and while copying igxp_xp32.cpa, get the black screen
and the computer crashed.
The driver was installed with CD come with the netbook which fail, so we try to get the driver from DELL web site and still fail. We also download from Intel and still have the same problem.
Even though the driver wasn't installed successfully, the video still works. The annoying problem is cannot set the RESOLUTION and cannot connect the laptop to the TV like we were able to before new HD.
We also reinstalled OS (clean installation), but nothing have changed.
There is a yellow sign under Display Adaptor in Device Manager and the name is Video Controller (VGA compatible).
I've searched on the internet and cannot find a solution yet. I've contacted Intel but did not get any help or answer.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
