I desperately in need of some expert expertise please. I have a few questions that I need answered concerning my Hotmail account. I have been using Hotmail, as my email client for over 20 years now, and I want to make some changes to it. Last year Hotmail changed their client to outlook, but everyone still can use there Hotmail address like mine for instance [email protected]. I DO NOT like outlook.com and want to change my email client to the "Mailbird" email client. Now my first question is that I want to change my current email address which is "[email protected]" and add a new email address which is "[email protected]" to my Hotmail account and keep my old email address and forward all my messages to my new (Mailbird) account, and I would like to add the IMAP server address to my new email address, and if possible to change my current email address as well to the new IMAP server address too, instead of my current POP3 server address. If I read correctly Hotmail did not support "IMAP" years ago and now I do believe they do, please correct me if I am wrong. Please explain to me what I need to do to 1. setup a IMAP server address. 2. Set up another email address for my name of "[email protected]". 3. Setup my current email address which is "[email protected]" to just have my new email client (Mailbird) just receive those messages that come from my current email address. 4. And finally, to have my new email client (Mailbird) to receive and send all my future email messages through (Mailbird). I hope I am not confusing anybody. Thanks for all your expert help in advance.
