Creating Windows repair to use on another computer

I was wondering if it is possible to create a windows repair disk using a desktop (windows 7 home premium 64-bit) and use it on a laptop (windows 7 home premium 64-bit). They run the same operating system so i can't see why it wouldn't work, but just want to make sure.
