Hey.

It's actually a problem of file ownership on the replaced file (the one coming from the backup).
The legit one has 'System' ownership, and the new one still got random user ownership (usually Admin)

On RogueKiller, I've removed the Zekos detection, so no more black screen on 8.8.3
I'll push it again when that ownership will be 100% resolved.

For those having that issue, and unable to boot, here's the way to solve it.

- Download 7PE here: http://www.security-.../canned-speech/
(Click on the first link, that looks like => hxxp://www.security-helpzone.com/Tools/g3n/7pe_x___86_E.exe)
You can't click on this one, the site doesn't allow direct linking.

You can use any other live PE, but it has to be Windows 7 based (we will modify ownerships, XP does not work AFAIK)

- Start it, should ask to either burn it or install it on USB (if live USB is supported)
- Once live CD/USB ready, boot on it.

<Your_System_Drive>:\Windows\System32\rpcss.dll is the culprit, let's follow the pictures to restore initial ownership.







- Try to reboot.

EDIT: You're right, that's a matter of direct liking.
