I have two hard drives in my laptop. I have Windows 7 Ultimate on one and Windows 8 Pro on the other. When I first installed this arrangement, it somehow came up with a page on startup that would allow me to select which OS I wanted to use, Win 7 or 8. After 30 seconds it would default to Windows 8. I really liked this arrangement as I use both OS's for various tasks. Well, I recently had to reinstall the Windows 8 OS. I used the same software as before and while it installed fine, I no longer get the option to select which OS I want. Instead I have to physically remove the Windows 8 HDD so Win 7 will load. Does anyone have any idea why this might have happened and more importantly, what I can do to get it back the way it was?

Maybe the bootcfg command will fix this for you. See here: https://support.micr...t.com/kb/317521

Leave both drives in and boot Windows 7 to run the bootcfg /rebuild command.
