Hi, not sure if this is an issue with windows 8, or if my computer is infected, but I cannot access my SD card. I can see the files on the card, but it won't open them. I have tried restarting my computer, but now it doesn't even show the sd card at all.

I am using my moms laptop, so not very familiar with it. It's a windows 8, 64 bit.

Hello cherinacherine

What you have described can happen if the card becomes full and if the card is removed from a device too soon.

Try the free EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard

Hi, I tried recovery wizard, and it didn't show the sd card either. The only things available were my hard drive. I may have done something wrong, but I tried to follow the instructions exactly.

Any other ideas? Sorry for all the trouble!

Give Recuva a try, details here

What type of device is the SD card used in.
Does the SD card have a small tab on it that can be moved so that it write protects the data on the card.

No need to apologise as we are here to help if we can ;)
