I can turn the laptop on, get it to my home page. But can't get the cursor to appear. Please help

What windows are you using?
What browser are you using?
What have you tried so far?
What is happening when you go into things like the control panel (does your curser show or hide?)?

I had scrolled through some of the frequently asked questions, and found that I had to tap on the F6 key, the touch pad button.
