My computer screen turns white when i boot up

And when (if when) it goes away it wont let me double blick on anything. I have vista and i normally run zoom text, a magnifier/reader software . Im really not sure what to do

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode by restarting the computer and continually tapping the F8 key, if yes what happened.

 

In the event that the computer concerned is a notebook can you connect it to an external screen by way of the VGA port to see if that screen is also white.

 

Please provide information about your computer, this includes is it a notebook or desktop, is it a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if it is a brand name provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the MB, add on video card if one is used and the PSU (power supply unit) providing these details will enable us to better assist you.

It's better if you really provide more info, because with such a problem description it might be anything -- from problems video subsystem to some malware blocking certain actions like dobleclickin or launchin some apps.

 

If any tricks don't help, try upgrading to Win7 -- it's much less glitchy than Vista.
