I want to play a few games that I got when I had WinXP. I have Windows 7 Home Premium, so I can't use XP Mode.
Does anyone have a solution to this, other than me purchasing 7 Ultimate or 8 or whatever?

What game is it?
You may also try this: Install and use Windows XP Mode in Windows 7

Unfortunately I don't think there are any options left unless someone else has an idea. Have you tried visiting the company support forums for those who designed them?

The company that designed them is long out of business ... but I work for the original programmer ... I will ask him if he has anything.
Thanks!

What about Virtual Box (or any VM) running Windows XP?
Doesn't this require a copy of XP to be able to run XP? I mean ... that's what I think I needed when I tried this before. Or am I just reading the instructions wrong?

moondog830,
Yes as far as I know this would require a copy of Windows XP to "virtually" run "behind" your main operating system (in your case Windows 7) via Virtualbox.

Hi Moondog830,
If you're still around and still require help you could try this (If you haven't already).

I tried that as one of the first attempts at working this out. Apparently what I will do now ... I will set up an old machine that has XP on it and that will take care of this issue.
If I can afford 7 Ultimate or Pro down the road, I will buy it and that will allow me to do it on this machine.
Thanks to all of you for your suggestions. it's a shame that Microsoft can't/didn't make this easier.

What games are you trying to run? I may have them myself.
