Hi, I used the System File Checker tool (sfc /scannow) and got the following message:

"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them".

Is there a solution to this?

Hello gbbg, first lets take peek at your hard drive's health. Download, install and run GSMARTControl. It should show a little icon of a hard drive in the window that opens. Doubleclick on the icon, then click on the attributes tab at the top. It will show a table. On the bottom right there is a button that says View Output, click it and then post the results here.

Hello gbbg

Please click Start ->  In the search box type in CMD and press Enter-> Copy and paste the following command in the CMD window:

findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt" and press Enter

Go to your desktop and please upload sfcdetails.txt to your next post
